Member of the Public Chamber of Tver′, council chairman of the TPSg Vyacheslav Bashilov and architect Vladimir Obraztsov held the presentation of the idea of the project "Park of the Planet Cities" at the round table at the Public Chamber of Tver′ with the support of Tver′ State Duma.
It’s a redevelopment project of Tver city centre in natural hydro-park zone of Tmaka and Lazur floodplains.

Dear Mr Richard Tibbott!
April 14, 2011 the idea of the project of public diplomacy "Park of the Planet Cities" was discussed at the meeting of the Board of Tver Organization of Architects Union of Russia.
The given project is a new innovative approach in urbanization strategy of designing of cities and landscape and park building. The realization of the project allows gathering all the creative ideas and groundwork of world-wide in space of one city. The project forms the ecological framework of the city as 95% of the territory of the project will be covered with parks and hydro-parks. English, French, Bulgarian, Chinese, Hungarian, German, Ukrainian, Finnish and other park zones will appear in the city. They will reflect the unique style and special features of each country and at the same time they will represent business residences of each city-partner of the project.
The rest of the territory will involve: social and business and information centres, trade and entertainment complexes, underground museum and exhibition pavilions, cinema and concert halls, 4-star and 5-star hotels and modern residential building. On the remaining territory an open space will be formed where mutually beneficial transnational cooperation between cities and regions from different countries of the world will be realized.
After realization of the project the open space "Park of the Planet Cities" can well begin to compete with the theme park "EPCOT centre" - the second theme park of the entertainment complex of Walt Disney, situated near Orlando (Florida, USA).
So, the open space "Park of the Planet Cities", that is the whole set of park complexes and social and business and information centres of Tver city-partners, can become a self-sufficient and repaying unique business, cultural and tourist centre not only of Tver and Tver Region but of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the project "Park of the Planet Cities" offers the city community the opportunity to build Tver residences in the form of "Russian Terem" in city-partners of the project.
The participants of the Board of Tver Organization of Architects Union of Russia supported unanimously the idea of building the park of the planet cities in Tver.
Proceeding from above-stated, Tver Organization of Architects Union of Russia recommends Tver State Duma and Administration of Tver City to take the project "Park of the Planet Cities" as a basis during designing the strategy of development of Tver City and general plan of the City. The Tver Architectural Community is ready to take an active part in all the work of projecting and realization of the project "Park of the Planet Cities".
